What to do first
First aid while you are on your way
These steps buy you time and often save the tooth. They are not a substitute for being seen — message us in parallel.
Severe toothache
Take your usual painkiller, rinse with warm salt water, avoid very hot or cold food, and sleep with your head raised.
Send a photoFacial swelling or abscess
Do not apply heat or squeeze it. Swelling that reaches the eye or under the jaw, or affects swallowing, needs same-hour care.
Send a photoKnocked-out tooth
Hold the crown, never the root. Rinse in milk, reseat it if possible, or keep it in milk and reach us within 60 minutes.
Send a photoBroken or chipped tooth
Save the fragment in milk or saline, cover sharp edges with sugar-free gum and avoid biting on that side.

Keep the crown, clean it gently, and avoid chewing on that side. Do not glue it back with household adhesive.

Bite firmly on clean gauze for 20 minutes without checking. If it soaks through twice, message us immediately.

Cover the wire end with orthodontic wax or a small ball of sugar-free gum. Never cut the wire yourself.

Control bleeding with gauze, use a cold pack outside the lip and send us a photo — baby teeth are managed differently.
